Originally part of the ALASKA Railroad diesel roster, the ALCO S-type diesels were inherited from the US ARMY. The last survivor #7123 was retired in 1975 and scrapped in Anchorage AL in 1976.RMT-3331 ARR #7123 will be painted in the stunning ARR colors of YUKON BLUE and YELLOW with reference to Alaska's Statehood celebration in 2009.
