This amusing netsuke is carved out of a single piece of ivory, and measures approximately 2.16" tall, 1.25" wide and 1" deep. The grain of the ivory is very evident on all the large smooth areas. This netsuke features a woman holding a fan in one hand, while her other hand is covered by the fan. On her shoulder is a demonic head. This old piece is in very good condition and t is an artist signature on the bottom. I am a private collector in the process of liquidating my collection. All my netsukes were purchased at Antiques shows and estate auctions between 1985 and 1988; as well as a trip to Asia in 1987. Please email any questions before bidding.
