Sangria Horde 90% Fine Silver Coins Bullion $2.00 Face Quarter Eagle Dollar 2106Description SANGRIA HORDE25 Cent Washington Quarters - American Eagle Back90% Fine Silver ContentYou will receive the coins pictured.These coins come from a Treasure Trove of found coins which I call the SANGRIA HORDE. Last year a friend of mine, who had been in the Antique Business for over 45 years, passed away suddenly. Soon after the Memorial Service, his wife called me to quickly come and look at some things that she had found in one of her husband's storage barns on their property outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When she showed me some old Cigar Boxes filled with Silver Coins I admit I wasn't that excited. When she then showed me an old paint can stuffed with Silver Certificates my excitement grew. As we opened other cans and boxes we found thousands of Silver Coins, Bills, Pieces of Jewelry and other Sterling Silver items that he had squirreled away. I offered to come back over the winter and go though it, come up with a value and then she could make a decision as to what to do with it.Every Christmas my friend had given me a jug or crock of Sangria that he had made with that year's harvest from some of the fruit trees on their property. As I was leaving she offered that I could take some of the Sangria that her husband had made and was stored in her basement. When I lifted one of the Jugs I realized there was more than just Sangria in that Jug. When we looked closely through the dark glass we saw that besides Sangria this Jug was filled with coins. We looked through the remaining 20 or 30 Jugs and Crocks and found 11 filled with Silver Coins. There were dates on the Jugs and Crocks. The ones with just Sangria dated to within the last few years. The Jugs and crocks filled with coins had dates going back as far as 1973. It seems that some of the Silver Coins had been soaking in Sangria for more than 40 years. Because of this we decided to call her husband's hidden Treasure Trove The Sangria Horde . The coins that had been soaking in the Sangria for who knows how many years all appear to be circulated. Some of the coins have wonderful detail. Because of soaking in the low acidity for all those years many of the coins appear bright and shiny when rinsed off. There were over 16,000 coins as well as the Paper Bills, Jewelry and other Sterling Silver items that we found after going though the basement and two storage barns. Coins include Morgan Silver Dollars, Peace Dollars, Barber, Walking Liberty, Franklin and Kennedy, and Commemorative Half Dollars, Barber, Standing Liberty, and Washington Quarters, Barber, Mercury and Roosevelt Dimes, V Nickels and Jefferson Nickels, Large Cents, Indian Head Pennies and Wheat Pennies. Coins are of different dates and grades including AU and Uncirculated. I will be selling these for my friend's wife over the next few month's.
