This is a 1:43 scale cast resin kit , O Scale, On3, On30 of a 1950's style REA delivery van. We are selling two other versions of 1950's vans and a 1930's van on other eBay Store pages. The green vans of the Railway Express Agency were as common in their day as the brown UPS vans we see today. The REA was an active participant of daily life in and around railway depots throughout the country. The green trucks carried packages from the REA depots to eager recipients in towns and cities from the early 1900's through the 1970's. No model railroad should be without a few of these unique and ubiquitous vehicles. Scale Art Parts' cast resin kits of the iconic REA delivery vans represent the 1930's and 1950"s. We designed this in 1:43 scale as this is the scale of most available vehicles. This is a brand new product. A year was spent in research and pattern making, fussing and fiddling to get the parts to fit and look just right. The kits are cast in ivory color polyurethane resin with some brass wire, styrene and other bits. Scale Art Models made decals for this kit on our Alps printer. Everything you need to build the model is in the box except for tools, paint and cement. Three pages of instructions break the assembly into easy to understand steps.
