AFTER RESEARCH, THIS I THINK IS A SINDY DRESS FROM THE MAM'SELLE RANGE OF THE 1960’s - MISS SINDY (BEAUTY QUEEN) IT IS A LONG SLEEVED FULL LENGTH DRESS WITH A RED VELVET SCOOPED NECK BODICE WITH A LOW BACK AND EDGED WITH WHITE FAKE FUR ROUND WRISTS AND NECK. FULL LENGTH CREAMY SATIN SKIRT HAS AN EMBOSSED SNOWFLAKE DESIGN WITH COLOURED GLITTER SPRINKLED ON AND A NET UNDERSKIRT. VERY GLAM! GOWN FASTENS AT BACK WITH A WHITE POPPER. ** CONDITION OF DRESS This has been a well used, well played with dress in the 60’s, so condition is well worn . Creamy satin is slightly grey looking, some finger markings with being played with, but still fabulous with its glitter sprinkles which are a bit sparse in parts now. White popper is complete at back waist. Fur is all complete but the red velvet is quite worn with velvet piling worn away in places, back and front. Dress has come undone at seam and been restitched at left hand side waist seam at some time long ago. Net underskirt is okay but gone a bit grey looking with age. ** CROWN CONDITION THERE IS ALSO A SILVER METAL CROWN TO GO WITH OUTFIT. This measures just over 3 cms in diameter at part where it sits in hair and 4.5cms wide at top. I am assuming this is the original crown that came with the dress as it was in amongst the box of Sindy clothes and bits and pieces. Having seen a read more
