THE VIERA GALLERY is pleased to offer a VINTAGE ENAMEL SNUFF BOTTLE BLUE ON WHITE QIANLONG MARK Fourth of a set of four Beautiful double snuff bottle in fine condition. Detailed dragons painted in blue on a white background. Check pictures to see the amazing detail the master artist included in the dragons, flaming pearl and cloud images. The body is thick and heavy. The surface is perfectly smooth and glazed and looks like porcelain. S poons intact. 2.25 w x 2.75 in h/ 55 x 70 mm. Interesting, complex design nicely executed. The bottom bears the mark of the Qianlong Dy. 1736-1795. I have no independent verification of the bottle's age. The moderate wear to the brass trim at the top and base, the spots of corrosion and the somewhat uneven background color indicates the bottle is not a modern reproduction. I will be offering three other similar bottles. Design elements are the same on all four. Only the shape of the bottle is different. Likely executed by the same artist. This is a rate opportunity for the snuff collector to acquire what amounts to a matched set of true vintage snuffs in great condition. Check back to see the others.
