Up for auction is this amazing young girl face jug by folk artist Ellen Martin. This mint piece measures approx seven and a half inches in height, and is in perfect condtion, signed on the bottom. Ellen Martin is a North Carolina based self taught African American Potter. She is known for her off the wall pieces especially her birds. Her work shows a true nack for art, and she creates pottery that can seldom be replicated, though often attempted. This piece is new from her, and is really an amazing piece that is unlike anything that I have ever seen any other potter make. It truly is hard to create a piece such as this because of the eccentric imagination it takes to come up with a piece like this!! Pictures show this potters true talent below!
