BENEDICT CRUCIFIX We are introducing the Germoglio line of St. Benedict crucifixes to our expanding collection. Each one of these crucifixes is hand crafted, attention to detail and quality is what distinguishes these from many similar crucifixes. What makes this crucifixes stand out from the rest? Each Body of Christ is hand nailed to the cross. The medals are individually struck with their inscriptions, not fused to the cross, in accordance to Church approval. The Body of Christ and Medal are cast in Brass and then silver plated. The crucifixes are made of quality materials and hand finished. The medal of St. Benedict, which cushions the head of the crucified Christ encircled by the crown of thorns, is approved by the Church, and by the power of Christ on the Cross is a strong protection for our Faith against the temptations of the Devil. St. Benedict's Medal and Medal-Cross can be worn round the neck or carried with you as well as hung on your house walls. In case of sickness it can be applied on the infirm part of the body. In the case of sick animals, it can be put in the water they drink. Any time you use St. Benedict's Medal or Medal-Cross for these particular purposes, tradition invites to say five Gloria Patri to Jesus Passion, three Hail Mary to the Blessed Virgin Mary and a Lord's Prayer to St. Benedict. In order to enter more deeply into the sprit of devotion, it is advisable to say these prayers every day. This particular crucifix is made of zamak metal alloy and is plated nickel plated, the central part of the cross is inlaid with walnut finish wood on both sides. It measures approx. 4 1/2" by 2 3/8" and it comes with a leaflet explaining the significance of the cross and medal. ST. BENEDICT MEDAL Included with the sale of this crucifix is an extremely detailed 3/4" St. Benedict Medal. The Medal of St. Benedict is perhaps the most esteemed medal by the Holy Church.
