Up for auction is a Fabulous Framed Antique Chinese Silk Embroidery Panel....this piece has a wonderful Dragon as the central design which is on a raw silk yellowish-beige background...T are bats, clouds, and swirled designs that surround it....This piece is all handstiched and it is in excellent condition....The colors of the silk and the detail in this are exquisite. I would date this to the late 1800's or early 1900's...Surrounding the panel is a black silk "matting" or border which also has chinese symbols throughout...The panel is framed in a Bamboo style frame which I believe was probably done later in the 1930's or 40's......This piece measures 50 inches by 23 inches framed....This is a rare find from a prominent Baltimore Estate!! Pieces of this quality are hard to come by anymore...We are starting this off low and with a very minimal reserve...Due to the size and weight of this piece t will be a flat rate shipping charge with insurance of $55.00 to West Coast and $45.00 East Coast.
