Exceedingly rare --- THEODORE ROOSEVELT for Governor Campaign Poster, New York 1898. Great early TR political item. TR as the ever-popular Rough Rider, caption reads, "THEODORE ROOSEVELT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR" Properly framed --- large. Measures (framed): 26" x 18". NOT a newspaper or magazine supplemental. This is a PROPER campaign poster. T is a supplemental to a popular magazine from the period which shows up from time to time with this same image, but it is smaller than this and has a different caption. It is not a Governor campaign poster. This one is.Crisp image --- matting (as shown) around the caption tastefully blocks what appears to be some marginal water staining which doesn't detract from the overall image. Otherwise, great condition.Buyer pays USPS Priority Shipping. Plus insurance if desired.
