Here are three (3) 8-coin sets of the bronze 2009 Lincoln commemorative cents, issued in bronze only in the Mint Sets of that year, of which only about 785,000 were minted. That makes these coins scarcer than the 1931-S! They haven't yet caught on with collectors, but if they ever do, the potential for price appreciation seems considerable. In my opinion, a complete set of Lincolns must include both the bronze and zinc coins of 2009.Generally speaking, the coins are typical of Mint-set coins: very nice, but not perfect, and somewhat variable. I should note, though, that one of the Denver sets has developed some spotting and/or unattractive toning on several of the coins.Bidding opens at face value plus $1, with no reserve.
