This auction is for a Thundercats Thundertank by LJN dated 1985. This piece is complete with ORIGINAL TREADS. The treads are in awesome condition, the best I have ever seen on one of these tanks. I can't overstate that part enough; I don't see any cracks or stress points and the tracks still feel soft and pliable just like when they were brand new (normally, they get dried up and somewhat rigid). These tracks are in such good condition that they actually turn as you push the tank around (with some downward pressure applied of course). I haven't seen one that could do that without being scared of breaking the tracks in a long time. As always, I still don't recommend the original treads for play, as they are all frail to a certain degree (which is why so few have survived this long), but it is cool to be able to if you wanted to. Press the button on the back of the tank and it springs into action. All parts of the pop-up action work as they should (the springs are in terrific shape and everything pops strongly, just like when it was new. Also included is the original box, which has great color and is in very good overall condition, with only light wear. There is original tape on each end, but neither end is sealed (the glue on the tape disintegrated long ago). The box even has the original cardboard inserts that held the tank in place! Finally, you also get the original instructions for the tank as well as the installation insert for the treads and an LJN Thundercats Toy Guide Catalog (all in excellent condition). The one problem this tank has is a small piece of plastic that is broken out on the bottom side (you can see it in the pictures of the underside). It cannot be seen unless you look at the bottom; it is invisible from a displayed position and it does not affect the function of the tank in any way.This is a very clean piece, not sticky, gunky, or dirty.
