Time During the Edo period (1603 - 1868) Touchmark ( Inscription ) No Touchmark Dimensions 1. Length = 6.8 cm2. Width = 6.7 cm3. Thickness = 0.5 cm4. Nakago Hole = 3.0 x 0.75 cm5. Weight = 106 g6. Material = Iron7. Box = No Box (If you would like to know the measure in inches, please divide each number by 2.54 and please multiply 0.0353 if you would like to transform grams to ounces.[Example] 10cm = 3.937inch, 100g = 3.53oz ) Description [ Tetsu-Ji ] This tsuba is made of iron. Tempered well.[ Maru-Gata ] Its shape is round.[ Nikubori ] Leaves and flowers are expressed in carving.[ Zogan ] Butterflies are expressed in brass inlay.So, we call this "Tetsu-Ji Maru-Gata Nikubori Zogan Tsuba".It is slightly rusty.It is inlaid with brass and copper.Very nice tsuba.
