TYCO VINTAGE RF-16 SHARKNOSE "MIDNIGHT SPECIAL" HO Prev Stop Play Next ADD VALUE, COLOR, EXCITEMENT AND INTEREST TO YOUR LAYOUT or Collection!!! BALDWIN RF-16 SHARKNOSE In 1948, Baldwin began to apply a new " Sharknose " body style to its cab unit diesel locomotives . The goal of the new style was partly to differentiate Baldwin locomotives from competitors, and partly to distance the new locomotives from early Baldwin diesels that were plagued with mechanical problems. The style was inspired by the Pennsylvania Railroad's T1 class duplex steam locomotive , some of which were built by Baldwin. "THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL " TYCO HO "midnight special" HO DELUXE LOCOMOTIVE... Painted in the striking WHITE & BLUE PAINT SCHEME.... " MIDNIGHT SPECIAL " HO .... Many of these TYCO sets and accessories are rare, hard to find AND no longer being made and are becoming collector items, remember the toys from your own childhood, however; an increase in value cannot be guaranteed, so is a second chance to pick up some unique and colorful engines,cars and accessories *** Engine was ran briefly on test track and ran well in both forward and reverse (especially since it is over thirty years old)...has gear drive, lighted with all apparent detail parts present and both couplers installed and working . .. the pictures do not do this engine justice...
