Brooch in the form of a photo-frame cut like the Salvation Army shield with "SALVATION ARMY", the bird in flight and the design I always think of as 'the rosette', but am sure has a different and much more precise name...Unfortunately the photo inside has been damaged and the man's face has been effaced...it is on card, the woman is in her soldier's uniform and I believe the gentleman is also from what I can see of his collar. The frame is closed with pins at bottom and one top corner, the other is held closed by a tiny knot of thread.T is a pinback which appears to be a latter replacement. The metal is not marked, so I do not know what it is, though it is patinated and otherwise reacts like silver of some grade.MEASUREMENTS: 1" wide, a bit over 1 1/8" tall. Our home is non-smoking and we have no pets. While I do my best to describe any scents, odors or potential allergens, most of my items are pre-owned. This may pose a problem for the exquisitely sensitive or very allergic...please keep this in mind before bidding or buying.
