This set includes various women, well known in American history, packaged as if they were a book...part of a library set. An explanation of who they were and why they're an important part of American history is outlined on the front inside flap. Each "book" is approx. 9 1/2" tall, 7" wide and 2" wide. The dolls themselves are dressed in the appropriate costume, with sleep eyes and mohair wigs...hard plastic. Vol.1 Martha Washington Vol.2 Dolly Madison Vol.3 Betsy Ross Vol.4 Priscilla Alden Vol.5 Barbara Fritchie Vol.6 Molly Pitcher Vol.7 Mary Todd Lincoln Vol.8 Clara Barton Now, the dolls are in nice shape, some of the boxes are fair to good, a couple I would say poor... for example, the volume with Barbara Fritchie,
