For auction: Mid 1930 to early 1940s Autograph book withapprox. 45 autograph pages of big band, Hollywood and theater celebrities. I foundthese, as with my other recent auctions, in the estate of my father. Since I can’t verify the signatures I can’t claim that they’re authentic. But common sense and my return policy should quell any nerves as to authenticity of the book. This is book 4 of 4 books I’m auctioning on EBay. EBay limits pictures to 12 so if anyone desires a picture of a specific autograph I’ll be glad to send one. The following is a list of the autographs in the book.Betty Grable – actress, dancer and singer. Her iconic bathing suit photo made her the number-one pin-up girl of the World War II era. JIMMY DORSEY - p rominent American jazz clarinetist , saxophonist , trumpeter , composer, and big band leader. On one page: from Larry Clinton’s Orchestra Charlie Blake – Drummer Walter Smith – Max Hermay – Next Page Larry C Clinton - was a trumpeter who became a prominent American bandleader . Bea Wain – Vocals with Clinton’s Orchestra Virginia ‘Ginny’ Simms – Actress and singer in Kay Kyser band.Harry Babbitt - singer and star in Kay Kyser bandOn one page:Kay Kyser – popular bandleader and radio personality of the 1930s and 1940s. Herb Haymer – Saxophone with Jimmy Dorsey Band Bob Eberly - Popular big band singer Bob Eberly spent much of his career with Jimmy Dorsey 's orchestra. His younger brother, Ray Eberle , sang with Glenn Miller Ruthie Barnes - ???? not too sure on this oneHelen O’Connell - Big-band vocalist of the 1940's with Jimmy Dorsey BandJohn Payner…..or something like that. Can’t make out the last name. Ziggy Elman - was an American jazz trumpeter most associated with Benny Goodman , though he also led his own Ziggy Elman and His Orchestra . Lionel Hampton - jazz vibraphonist , pianist , percussionist , bandleader and actor . Irene Day – Singer with Gene Krupa orchestra. Gene Krupa – Drummer and orchestra leader Lorraine Elliott – Singer (she recorded “ at last” for actress Lynn Bari) sang it for the first Miller movie, "Sun Valley Serenade," Gene Beecher - Cleveland bandleader who performed in ballrooms, in hotels and on radio for decades there, and who went on to a second career as highly respected impressionistic painterArtie Shaw - jazz clarinetist , composer , and bandleader . He was also the author of both fiction and non-fiction writings. Eunice Healey – singerFrankie Masters – band leaderEddie Rochester – comic actor who became famous playing "Rochester van Jones" (usually known simply as "Rochester"), the valet to Jack Benny 's eponymous title character on the long-running radio and television series The Jack Benny Program . John Boles - was an American actor. Sammy Kaye - bandleader and songwriter , whose tag line, "Swing and sway with Sammy Kaye", became one of the most famous of the Big Band Era. Everett Hoagland – big band ????? Herriet Hoctor – Dancer and actress Constance Bennett – Actress Marian Frances – I think, Can’t make out the last name Louise Tobin – who sang with Benny Goodman and Bobby Hackett in 1939.
