Vintage Ceramic Le Poet-Laval Majolica Fish Pitcher, French Art Pottery 7 1/4". This French pottery pitcher is in good condition with NO chips, cracks or repairs. It is marked on the bottom: Le Poet-Laval, FRANCE. The pitcher is 7 1/4" x 4 1/4" across at the base & 4 1/2" across the top & spout, not including the handle. It holds one quart. It's a rich deep yellow background that is pebbled to resemble water. It has light green leaves swaying at the bottom with a dark gray-blue fish jumping up above the leaves. It's a double fish, one on each side of the pitcher. Their mouths meet in the center to form the spout. The handle is a long fish or eel with a head at the bottom of the handle. It's a unique Le Poet-Laval pottery pitcher for any French Art Pottery collector....or fish lover!
