Perfect condition vintage black silk satin embroidered robe or kimono, found at an estate sale. The amazing all-over embroidery depicts garden scenes with women standing near bridges or in gazebos and flowers all around them. The bottom 9 inches is solid couched embroidered silk threads, and there is a 2-inch wide blue border with beautiful flowers around the bottom portion of the robe, as well as a blue border around the sleeve ends . The robe closes with four satin frogs, and the collar can be a mandarin collar. The sleeves are wide, and the robe has no damage at all. The inside is lined with a dark blue textured fabric, and there are 11-inch slits in the sides. The lovely robe measures: 41 inches from the top of the shoulder to the bottom hem, 32 inches across the bottom hem when laid flat, 21 inches across the chest when laid flat and 12 inches underarm seam to the end of the sleeve.
