Fabulous 17" vintage 60's Chanel runway necklace by Muranese glass master Archimede Seguso. Rare and unseen color combo of burnt sienna (brown) and creamy white. The metal components are gold plated, and there is a channel set crystal rondelle bead (see photo 3) at the center of the necklace. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs to the glass or necklace itself. The clasp has been repaired (please see final photo), it looks as though the AS panel disconnected from the clasp component at one point - I can deduce that this happened because you need to insert your fingernail under the lever to lift/release the clasp. I'm guessing that someone attempted to take this off of themselves without being able to see the clasp and caught the AS panel instead of the lift and dislodged the panel - it is solidly glued back into place with metal adhesive (not superglue, the compound is indestructible). STRUCTURALLY this does not impact the clasp, the panel sits inside of a recessed rectangle on the top of the clasp - the clasp is in perfect working order. This repair is not perceptible unless you have it very close to your face and are specifically inspecting for this it, I'm just erring on the side of over-describing this minor issue!
