Large vintage Swedish hand-embroidered wool tapestry measuring 25in x nearly 11inches or 63½cm x 28cm, in very good condition.There is a black metal hanger which is included in the sale.The two blue birds on the lower third of the tapestry have exotic curly tail feathers and are worked in several shades of blue. In the middle section there are two blue flowers, a raspberry pink tulip and two more raspberry pink flowers, each with yellow centres. The top third shows a flower in full bloom. Its petals are in shades of pink and yellow. Running around the outside is a border with inter-twining lines in blue, turquoise and highlights of white, against a very dark brown background. My elderly Swedish mother-in-law has just moved into our house and she has a huge collection of tapestries, most of which were done either by herself or her mother-in-law. But she now wants to downsize, so I will be listing several more of these tapestries over the next few weeks, all in excellent condition.I am happy to ship worldwide.
