Please see my detailed pictures, and judge condition for yourself. This set of Vintage American Flyer 688 3/16 Left and Right hand remote switches are in remarkable shape for their age. The bases are rust free and in fantastic condition with no bending, dents, or damage of any kind. The tracks show only very minor surface rust in a few of the "valleys." I would recommend cleaning the track of course, just due to age. The "aluminum" lighted towers are fantastic with only minor scuffing and no damage. I would recommend rewiring the controller just due to age. The existing wires are pretty much a rats nest. The controller itself is in excellent condition. I have been unable to test this set as my lay-out is currently disassembled. However, due to condition I have no reason to believe they would not work beautifully. They are being sold as-is. This rare and wonderful set of American Flyer switches will make a fantastic addition to your vintage O gauge lay-out. They look amazing for their age. It always excites me when I find such old pieces in such wonderful condition. Please see my other listings for more great O and 027 scale items. Payment is expected within 3 business days.
