PORTMEIRION BOTANIC GARDEN MANCHINEEL TREE 8 /12" CANISTER (HIPPOMANE MANCINELLA) *****************SECOND OF THREE AVAILABLE****************** ********BUY IT NOW REDUCED $$$$$$$$**************** Vintage 1972 excellent condition, 8 1/2" Botanic Garden - Manchineel Tree Canister or Jar with wood lid / rubber seal. Excellent size for kitchen canisters, flour, sugar, tea bags, coffee or pasta. This "HIPPOMANE MANCINELLA"is one of three pictured, Pic 1 center, Pic 2 third right, the other two are listed seperately. I am not certain, but this pattern may be retired given its production in the early 1970's. Portmeirion has it's roots in the 1800's and is classic substantial British porcelain with beautiful botanical renderings, much like you would see in biology books and species studies, applied paint under the glaze, not a laminated decals. Each canister has the traditional verdant British green coloration with whimsical accent of beautiful butterfly species appropriate to nectar on the plant variety. The three canisters are very good condition, clean and each lid fits the jar well. Please email any questions that you may have, as all sales are final.
