Vintage retro large west Germany incised pottery vase. c.1970's.This stunning vintage retro original was produced and manufactured in west Germany in the early 1970's.This large example has a pottery ceramic base and features numerous incised / moulded details as well as glaze details.The detailing is right throughout the piece floral cartouches and crosshatching circular and crisscross markings in bands right around the main body of the vase. The vase is glazed in a deep brown which features to the inside of the piece and the outer body in a high sheen glaze which is then overlaid in a cream / cappuccino Matt colour in striped bandings.These highlight the moulded relief and incised marks.The top neck line of the vase features a triple rib detail which is also in the cream/cappuccino colour glaze highlighting the detail to perfection.This particular vase is very tall and a large example and measures 41cm high and 16.5cm across the base. And 12cm across the neck line.The vase is marked on the reverse and reads: 289-41 W.GermanyThe vase is in a fabulous condition with no chips cracks crazing or restoration. The glaze and colourwork is bold and bright and the decoration is 100% intact. This piece dates to the early 1970's and belonged to my late grandmother.
