Here is a nice pair of vintage Shotgun style western chaps in as found condition. These are heavily fringed and decorated with a contrasting dark brown stitched leather overlay on medium tan colored leather, with very large, heavy zippers triple marked "TALON USA" and small buckled strap. Inside of buckle has a raised rectangle with manufacturer's mark. Condition is good, with age associated wear. I found 7 strands of fringe missing, otherwise complete. Has a surface scrape on left leg. Please study the photos carefully as I have no knowledge of western wear. I am not certain if these are men's or women's chaps but they do look very authentic and ranch worn. These may be dated by the style of the Talon zipper, which is well documented. Otherwise, a good guess would be 1950's-60's, but not sure of this so please use your own judgement. A very handsome item for Western style decoration or use. Please ask any questions before bidding as I have tried to describe and measure this item as best as possible. Measurements are as follows. Width of legs when opened flat: Top 19", Knee 14", Bottom 16"; Waistband measures 28" plus 14" belt; Measured closed: 35" from top of hip to bottom; about 28" inseam from inside to bottom.
