What a treasure! This vintage ladies yoke, collar and sleeves are chock full of needlework...white with whitework, padded embroidery, cutwork scrolls and 4 leaf clover, eyelets, and drawnwork. There are also other embroidered leaves and vines and other flowers. All edges are scalloped, including the sleeve edges with cutwork circles. My aerial picture shows the entire piece opened up. To use this, it would be folded longwise, and the sleeves would be stitched. The front and back pieces are just basted together, but the sleeve pieces are hand sewn. Circa early 1900s.
