Subscribe to My Newsletter! ......outstanding...... This is a simply superb, early 980 silver and Mexican Jade (green quartz) necklace from Taxco, Mexico, circa 1935. A stunning piece, the pendant consists of a stylized eagle motif, set with a green quartz stone that has been carved for added embellishment. The pendant has great interest with its jagged border, mimicking the feathers of the eagle. The silver chain is completely hand wrought with deftly twisted links and closing with a spring ring clasp which I don't believe is original to the piece. Since this is a bit shorter necklace, I will be including a complimentary sterling silver necklace extender which will increase the wearable length of the necklace by 3". A beautiful piece, gorgeous when worn, and a great example of early Taxco work! Hallmark: Taxco 980 Size: Wearable Length: 15" (with the pendant dropping down another 2 5/8"); Wearable Length with the Extender: Up to 18"; Pendant: 2 1/2" x 2 5/8" Condition: Excellent vintage 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed! 13321 Visit My Ebay Store for more treasures!
