Sweet 18" soft chubby first "Welcome Home Baby" doll that is pictured in the Izen/Stover Vogue book on page 324. Designed by Eloise Wilkin, illustrator of children's books and she also designed the "Baby Dear" doll. She is marked Vogue Doll on back of neck and has a tag on her body. And her cryer still works. She comes dressed in a soft baby blue batiste baby hanky dress with tucked and embroidered yoke, a fancy collar, and also embroidering at bottom and tucks on sleeves which is unusual. She has on a baby knit vintage undershirt and original panties. She has matching blue hand crocheted booties. Clothing is nice and in clean condition without damage. Face: Precious with painted blue eyes and pug nose, baby creases under eyes and sweet soft pink closed mouth. No stains or problems on face. Molded painted hair with very few light paint rubs. Not to detract. Body is so soft and cuddly and a really nice doll for a younger child as does not have sleep eyes. Ad said "The first doll that looks like it was born, not made. She has a life like lovable face with delightful eyes". Non smoking home. Questions welcome and please check out my other items for more dolls and doll things. Thanks for stopping by. Bunny not included.
