Vintage porcelain figurine of a black boy riding an Alligator. Nice bright colors, very good condition. He has no cracks, chips, flea bites or crazing! I have seen this figurine and many different versions of him. Often he is made from different material and has different functions.For example a cast iron bank or a boy running with a crocodile right on his backside! Of course the painted cast Iron items usually have a lot of paint loss and wear. If there is supposed to be some theme or meaning I don't get it, I don't understand it. I know that a lot of these sort of things were made in Japan mid century? Size is about 3.5" x 5.0" x 1.5". If there are any questions just send an e-mail!.
