This 2000 Waterford Millenium Footed Ice Bucket was handmade in Ireland, from the purest crystal . It is acid etched with the Waterford name & hallmark. The green & gold sticker is attached. This Waterford piece was hand inspected an average of 4 times to spot any imperfections. This stunning ice bucket is BRAND NEW. The light radiates and reflects beautifully through the meaningful deep cuts combined with clear crystal. What a magnificent statement this will make as a gift or for your own table ! This Ice Bucket is so exquisite , you might want to show it year round ; instead of just for holidays. It sold for $375.00 before being retired & sold out. This masterpiece is for the keen & discerning collector. The artisans at Waterford wanted to make a special series of crystal items to mark the dawning of a new Millenium. This Ice Bucket is representaive of the five universal toasts that have endured for tens of centuies. They are Happiness, Love, Health, Prosperity & Peace . In the same order, their symbols are a bowknot (pictures 1 &4 ), an eloquent heart (picture 3 ), the morning sun (picture 5 ), the sheaf of wheat (picture 7) & the dove in flight with an olive branch (picture 2 & 6 ). Of all the beauiful crystal items in this collection , this Ice bucket stands as the "jewel in the crown" . From the paperwork, "The custom of toasting speaks of human values that endure. The toast expresses wishes for the gifts that enrich human life & show mankind at its most human. It accompanies life's most momentous moments & pays them honor". This gorgeous Millenium Ice Bucket is very large at approx. 7 1/2" tall by 7" across the mouth & 3 3/4" across the foot . It comes to you in it's gray Waterford box , wrapped in Waterford's signaure tissue paper . The original paperwork, explaining each of the 5 universal toats is also included. Even the bottom layer of this Ice bucket is gogeous. It has deep olive cuts , sandwiched between 2 deeply sculpted lines all around. This is a very heavy piece weighing over 6 1/2 pounds of pure, radiant sculpted crystal. It has a full, clear ring that lasts for several seconds when you "flick" it. Please Supersize, then Maxmize the pictures. They are an important part of the description. Most crystal companies use 24% lead crystal, while Waterford uses 33% lead crystal. This is what makes Waterford products weigh more & have that special brilliance which makes it "head & shoulders" above the rest. Now for the fine print necessitated by all the changes in eBay: I have always refunded excess shipping back to my customers, as my repeat buyers know. The PRICE OF SHIPPING has MANY FACTORS. You not only have the weight of the item, but of the Waterford box it came with it (if it's available), the bubble wrap, peanuts, air bags & the outer box I send your item in. I only use packing materials that are clean & new, as are the boxes. I also have a small handling fee of $1 to $2.50 per shipment. This is due to the fact that I spend 10 to 30 minutes (sometimes more) packaging your "treasure." I send several personal emails along the way, from payment to shipping.
