Up for auction is this beautiful crimson Wedgwood pitcher. I have owned it for about ten years and now it is time for someone else to enjoy it. The color is very beautiful and t is very little bleeding through as you can see in the pictures. Many of these pieces had problems with bleeding through of the red into the white. T are no chips or cracks and the inside is glazed and is white and clean. It measures 6 1/4 inches high and is 3 1/4 inches wide across the top and 3 7/8 inches wide across the bottom. It is marked on the bottom with the impressed "WEDGWOOD" and "ENGLAND." The number "24" denotes the size and shape of the piece and the letter "F" would date the piece to 1903.The only problems with the pitcher are a small flea bite on the right side which can be seen in picture 2 and loss of relief on the left side in the staff that the figure is holding. The loss measures 3/16". I bought this piece from a dealer in Harrisburg ten years ago and the relief was missing and flea bite was present at that time. That being said, the relief is very crisp and beautiful and it is a beauty to behold. If you have any questions, please ask prior to bidding. Thanks for viewing my auction.
