All original German WWII textbook combat field canteen (Feldflasche). This is the M31/41 model which was issued since 1941 with aluminum flask. Black supple leather strapping with working steel clip hook. Wool body cover with all intact snap on buttons. The Bakelite lid has the correct bakelite code marking. The wool cover and flask have the matching maker marking "KCL" and "41" 1941 year date. KCL is a very difficult to find maker on field combat canteen ! All over a very nice matching field canteen fitting excellent to the M31 1941 dated field bread bag and mess kit which I do have listed on separate eBay auction! All items came once together from veteran estate in Germany. Please note the last picture below w you see a German officer drinking exactly out of this model M31/41 canteen! Rare piece of German combat field gear within these days. -I will contact the high bidder after the auction has ended.Thank you.
