This is a WWI Buffalo New York Mothers Star. Note the rare five star brooch, indicating five children in the service. That is the most I have ever seen on one of these Mothers Medals, which were issued in this format by 12 or 15 communities. Ex-Paul Till NYS medal collection. In the next month, I will be offering 200 different New York State WWI local Service Medals. This will include may scarce issues. About half of them are from the famous Paul Till New York State Medal collection, which I acquired in 1982. Those will come in his distinctive envelopes, which have the medal information typed on them. Illustrated at 150%. Excellent condition. NO RESERVE !!! Buyer pays $3.00 for insured postage.
