CLOCK COLLECTION BEING LIQUIDATED! I have been doing clock collecting and repairs as a hobby for the last thirty years. Recently, a family came to me and asked me to dispose of a chiming clock collection from a family member that had passed away. All of the clocks are either Westminster chime or dual chiming clocks. All of these clocks are in an As Found, As Is condition. They are all there, but will need to have the movements cleaned before they can be counted on to be a reliable runner. They would also work as a parts clock for the hobbyist. . GERMAN TAMBOUR CASE DUAL TUNE CHIMING MANTLE CLOCK. This clock will play both Westminster and Trinity chimes. There is a selector switch in the face of the clock by the number 3 so that you can make your selection. There is also a Silent / Chime selector by the number 9. The movement in this clock has had some sort of spray lubricant taken to it and the clock movement will not move now. Also, the hammers will not move as they got sprayed as well. While I was trying to wind the clock, the chime spring let go as well. The other issue is that the pendulum is not original to the clock and the beveled glass is cracked and will need to be replaced.
