EVERYTHING IS THE SAME. I JUST REMOVED PICTURES/SUBTITLE TO SAVE A FEW EXTRA BUCKS!! Up for sale is a pair of Telefunken/TAB V76 preamps. These are a very rare model. They are the model "fu". Up until this very day, I have not been able to find out anything specific about these. I have seen listing information on the 76/80, the 76/120, the 76/m, 76/s and even a little on the 76/f but nothing on the V76/fu. As far as I understand it, the "f" is supposed to represent the fact that these are remote controllable. I had the separate remote control switches with these went I sent them away to have them racked. I won't give you all of the details here but let's just say that it took me a long time to get these back in my possession. I am selling them as a pair with the XLR I/O and the power supply. The "rack" that was made for them looks horrendous. I had a custom plate made for these, complete with the cutouts for the remote switches but with the switches not there, it leaves a huge gap at the bottom. So, you are more than welcome to have the rack. All you have to do is pay the extra shipping. The remote controllers were "lost" and have not been found as of this writing. If they do appear, I will mail them to the winning bidder.Serial numbers are 2 numbers apart!! Date made is 10/30/1962!Work was done on these by Dave Thomas, who owns Advanced Audio microphones. He is located in B.C., Canada. He did some work to them and did the wiring on these as well. They sound really good. Considered to be the "Rolls Royce" of all of the Telefunken preamps, these things go fast. Now, I've never heard them before so I am not the best one to make any claims to how they sound compared to other V76 preamps. I did a quick test to evaluate them and make sure signal could pass through them and that's it. I did not want to invest any more time or energy in these. It has been an exasperating experience for me to just get these things back in my possession. I didn't want to hook them up and do extensive listening because, quite frankly, I would not have wanted to let them go!! I am more in need of the money than I am the gear at this moment. So I am selling these "as is". DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DEAL WITH WORKING ON THEM AS NEEDED.I am selling the two preamps, their connectors, the XLR In and Out and the power supply. It is a switchable supply as far as I can tell, allowing both US and overseas powering. I am listing them as a pair but I would sell individually if I had commitments and payments from 2 people.
