The glass has some very small scratches otherwise in very good to excellent shape . On the cover says , 44 , CORPS OF ENGINEERS , U.S. ARMY , MANUFACTURED BY SUPERIOR MAGNETO CORP. L.I. CITY N.Y. , U.S.A. ....The Compass works fine .
