A VERY RARE SURVIVOR! THIS MUST HAVE BEEN HIDDEN AWAY SINCE THE 1930'S A 1920'S BUS TIMETABLE/NOTICE BOARD SIGN FOR STRATFORD-ON-AVON MOTOR SERVICES "TRAVEL BLUE" STILL WITH PAPER TIMETABLES DATED SEPT, OCT AND NOV 1927 FIXED TO IT. 30" TALL X 18" WIDE A PAINTED METAL SIGN WITH WOODEN SURROUND. THIS SIGN IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE. THE PAPER TIMETABLES ARE FADED AND HAVE A FEW TORN PATCHES. (SEE PHOTO). CAN BE COLLECTED OR POSTED. HISTORY OF STRATFORD BLUE: In 1927 a new company, trading as the Stratford-upon-Avon Motor Services, was granted a license to operate between Stratford and Leamington in direct competition with the tramway. On March 15th 1929, Stratford-upon-Avon Motor Services was purchased by the Leamington and Warwick Company, remaining as a separate operating concern until May 1931, when it was registered as a limited company under the name of Stratford-upon-Avon Blue Motors Limited. The Seller is away from 9 Feb till 19 Feb. Items can still be purchased but will not be dispacthed until 20 Feb.
