10" CRIMPED BOWL HEAVILY CUT GLASS AMERICAN BRILLIANT PERIOD NO RESERVE Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album GLASS CUTTER / PATTERN NAME: The glass cutter and pattern name is unknown to me. This piece definitely has the look and quality of some of the better cut glass that was made in the American Brilliant Period. AGE: This piece was probably made in the very early 1900's. BLACK LIGHT TEST RESULTS: Confirms American Brilliant Period (approximately 1876-1916) MEASUREMENTS: It measures 9-3/4" to 10" in diameter at its widest points and is 3" high. WEIGHT / RING: It weighs a hefty 4.6 pounds and has a beautiful long lasting ring when tapped. BLANK / GLASS CLARITY: I'm unsure how this crimped blank was created, but there are no signs that it is a figured blank. The glass is bright and clear. CUTTING DETAILS: The main miters have nice depth and the overall precision is very good. POLISHING QUALITY: The finish looks and feels very crisp. CONDITION REPORT (ALWAYS VERY PICKY): The teeth are in great shape and I had to search hard to find just a couple of pencil point sized nicks on them. The side pattern area looks nearly perfect with just one tiny chip that is only 1/16" in size. On the bottom outer edge of the pattern is a hard to see very shallow chip that is 1/8" in size and another still attached chip read more
