For auction is a very sweet little Lionel Jr. electric train locomotive from the year 1934. This is the black and red version with the “E” unit and 4-wheel litho tender. Engine is in overall excellent condition and is 100% original and complete. The headlight works. Motor turns freely and ran like a screaming banshee when I bench tested it. As is typical of these older locomotives, the “E” unit reverser is balky and will need some light cleaning and servicing to work. Engine and tender are both very clean with bright metal parts. While there are some nicks, dings and scratches from use, a minor wrinkle on the rear cab, and a little rough area on the top rear of the tender, none of this detracts significantly from the overall presentation of the loco. The black and red paint with nickel trim parts makes for a very handsome loco. This loco will celebrate its 80 th birthday next year and it will run as speedy as the year it was made!
