Antique large, heavy and primitive handmade & hand carved wooden base in the form of a block of wood that looks like a giant Hershey's Kiss with it's original tapered top end, original top hole, original flared bottom, original & attractive old knot holes, original old Maine farm shed usage patina & wear and retaining it's original old, dry and lightly soiled surface, as found. . Maine , 1840, probably earlier. Guaranteed old and original; this is not a fake or reproduction. Actual weight 12 1/2 lbs. 10" tall, 12 1⁄4" base diameter, 3 3⁄4" top diameter, 1 1⁄2" top hole diameter . Antique large, heavy and primitive handmade & hand carved wooden base in the form of a block of wood that looks like a giant Hershey's Kiss with it's original tapered top end, original top hole, original flared bottom, original & attractive old knot holes, original old Maine farm shed usage patina & wear and retaining it's original old, dry and lightly soiled surface, as found . We found this in the farm tool shed, high and dry. It must have seen service in that building supporting some sort of tool (?). It's big, heavy and looks like a giant Hershey's Kiss but if one has a weathervane or folk art sculpture in need of a "base", this one has the heft, the decorum and the surface to support, enhance and hold up that object while also remaining a modest object
