This auction is for a nice looking quality 1890's to 1900's quilted front baseball pants. They appear to be made of cotton (not wool or flannel) and have no tears or holes in them. They are white with red side stripes. Bottom is brought together with string that runs through the bottom area (never had elastic in them). The pants measur 16.5" across where the top button is, which would equate to around a 33"waist. The pants measure 31" long along the outside stripe and they have an inside inseam of 19". Five buttons total with them all covered up. It looks like some buttons have been replaced over the years. There are 3 white opaque buttons and 2 light brown buttons. The belt loops are all intact and there in one back pocket on the right side. The quilted padding on the front all is intact. I do not see where there ever was a manufacturer or size tag. Hard to find these old quilted baseball pants as I'm sure you know! This is an old used pair of quilted baseball pants and thus wear is expected. These pants were not made with elastic in the bottom, instead they have a string in the bottom to adjust the bottom of the pants based on the users desires. There are some small rusty colored stains here and there, with a couple bigger ones on the back. No holes or tears in the material that I see. White material has yellowed just a little. read more
