1950 American Flyer No. 16 Electronic Rectiformer 150 Watts w/Original BoxDescriptionSEE ALL PHOTOS AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF LISTINGFor your consideration, a beautiful, fully restored, 1950 American Flyer No. 16 150-Watts Electronic Rectiformer with Original Box w/Inserts, New Vacuum Tube and original Operating Instructions.RECTIFORMER OVERVIEWThe No. 16 Electronic Rectiformer is designed specifically to operate American Flyer Electronic Propulsion Trains and will operate any electric trains which use 7 to 15 volts DC. It will operate only on 110-120 volts AC from 50 to 133 cycles and cannot be plugged into Direct Current without the use of an inverter. 1950 was the last year of production for American Flyer Rectiformers.There are two sets of terminals on the front of the Rectiformer. One set is marked “Direct Current for Trains”, and this set is used to supply variable voltage from 7 to 15 volts to the track. The other set is marked “Alternating Current for Accessories” and supplies a constant 15-volt AC for accessory operation. When the Rectiformer draws DC current the vacuum tube on the top emits a light blue light. When the Rectiformer is idle the vacuum tube emits an orangish-red light.
