On offer is an extremely rare and large Chinese 18th century export blue and white vase decorated in figures. The vase, which has an unusual squared shape, shows a female warrior playing "pipa" while horse riding and soldiers carrying flags etc. T is also a landscape scene around the rim. It measures at a nice 27 cm in height and dated to early Kangxi period. The condition is excellent with rather extensive frittings to the edges and corners due to firing imperfection and age . Such edge frittings are also very common in this type of Kangxi vases. The previous owner of the vase made some cosmetic improvement which we removed some to show you the frittings. Please study our pictures. Further, t are no additional chips, cracks and restorations.
