A nice pair of original Admiral George Dewey items- 1) Original personal calling card of US Navy Admiral George Dewey, hero the Spanish American War Battle of Manila Bay. 3 x 1.5" card, ptd "George Dewey The Admiral of the Navy". Vg and dates to circa 1899-1917. 2) Original letter to Lt Commander George Dewey, August 1867, US Navy Yard, New York, orders his transfer from the USS Colorado to await new orders, sgd by USN Yard Commandant Charles H Bell. 1p 8 x 16".
