Direct from England, this listing is for another wonderful antique English carved oak hanging wall shelf. I have a source in the UK that specializes in these shelves and searches throughout England and Belgium, sometimes France, to find them!! This shelf is a very large size, almost four feet long, with a beautiful mid-tone finish and fabulous tiger oak grain that is accented by the SEVEN brass metal character hooks. This particular shelf has a French look to it, with a large relief carved center panel, graceful corbels and a beveled edge top with two plate grooves along the back. Measurements : 47âe x 15âe x 8 1⁄2âe; The shelf is constructed of thick oakâe¦âe¦âe¦with a 1âe beveled edge top, 3⁄4âe thick scalloped corbels and 3⁄4âe thick carved center panel. The shelf attaches to the wall via two old-style hooks that rise above the back shelf top.
