Antique Indian household shrine. These shrines/frames are placed over doorways in Indian households, probably containing a small bronze or an image of Ganesha as the 'remover of obstacles'. They are made of a solid, dense wood with a beautiful patina and are of varying ages some being very old and some more recent. This shrine measures 14 (w) x 19 (h) cms and is 4.5 cms deep.
