This listing offers the antique or vintage No. 8 sled made by PARIS MFG. CO. of South Paris, Maine, USA. This sled still has remnants of it's original paint on the riding surface, as well as PMC on the runners and the item labeling on the under surface. Constructed primarily of wood with metal runners. The runners have curly terminations on the front. The sled is about 11 1/8" wide and about 40 1/2" long. Several screw eyes were installed on the lower part of the sled for wall mounting as a display piece.The piece has overall wear as pictured. There is a section of wood broken off of the riding surface at the rear. Many of these sleds were hand painted, and while this does have some original paint, it is worn as shown.
