Victorian Dickensian Photograph Antique Ambrotype This is an example of the Victorian ambrotype. Its subject is a most quirky looking man, of rotund, portly shape, dressed smartly but in clothes which look more of the manner of a social climber or man governing industrial workers - quite a character with his pipe and cane! It is loosely fitted in a single sided case - it sits nicely but can be removed. It is a particularly large piece and it measures 10cm by 8cm. Whilst I feel I hav e set a fair price for this piece based on its quality and condition, I am more than open to reasonable offers as I would love for it to find a nice new home.
