I picked up another large group of old drug store inventory and will be listing approximately 150 items which come from an old drug store/barber supply store that closed its doors many years ago. According to the owner, the store closed in the 1950s, but I have found a handful of items that appear to be as new as the 1960s to 1980s. At any rate, all of the items have been in storage for decades and nearly all are NEW OLD STOCK!! Most items date from the 1880s to the 1950s. If you collect old drug store items, this is an opportunity to purchase some really nice items! This item is a circa 1948 box of Kirkman Granulated White Grains of Soap which was distributed by the Kirkman & Son Division of Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Co., Brooklyn, N.Y. Please note this auction is ONLY for the larger red box in the photo (the Ajax soap will be listed in a separate auction). This is the "Large Size" and contains "One Pound Seven Ounces" of detergent. There is a promotional offer on the box for a "Utility & Steak Knife" which expires June 30, 1948. The box measures 8-1/2" X 6" X 2". It remains sealed and unused. Condition of this item is EXCELLENT with some darkening due to age, light dirtiness, and some light creasing. This considered to be NEW OLD STOCK! This is a wonderful example of old drugstore memorabilia! Please email any questions. Please note read more
