This beautiful pot has a uniquefive point star mouth design. It was crafted by Jose Loya and his wife Ana Pena in a more difficult five quadrant design. Jose, with his brothers and sisters, has acquired many exhibition prizes over the last several years. This black design pot, painted on a marbled terra cotta base, measures 9" tall, 7" in diameter and 21-1/2" in circumference. Its quality is very fine. We use quality categories as follows: Extra Fine--these pots are made by renowned artists and generally sell from $800 to several thousand dollars retail. Very Fine--these pots may be made by renowned or up and coming expert potters and generally sell for $200 to $800 retail. Fine--these pots are made by lesser known artists or students of the masters and may be as good as any of the above, selling for $100 to $300 retail. We do not sell any of the commercial grade products. Each pot is one-of-a-kind, a carefully made piece of artwork.
